And I won't even get much of a break, because I have a new one to help write for January and then at least 3 for the March S3 deadline

I have given up and uploaded a PDF instead of using their god-forsaken glitchy program. I just hope it displays ok (which is not guaranteed based on prior experience browsing these things). The conference isn't even hybrid. I'd really rather just print the damned thing and hang it up!

oh my god, it can't even fucking get hyperlinks correct. That's literally one of the only benefits of an iPoster (getting to link to shit) and it doesn't fucking work

I should have just asked for a talk even though what I'm presenting (software advertisement) is much better suited for a poster. I'd be a lot less mad putting a talk together than fighting stupidity. (Don't even get me started on the glitchiness of the stupid site where you build them)

Congrats!

Yeah. It’s fairly common for certain era houses that are getting old!

It’s under the driveway, so probably just a few decades of slow compression from cars caused it to break and the amount of debris hit a critical threshold over the weekend and caused a clog

Yup! Renting has definite upsides (especially since my landlords are really nice and they always take care of serious stuff fast! Talked toy landlady yesterday and she said at least 2025 is a better tax year for this to happen in than if it had waited until January 😂)

Clay. Under the house is cast iron

The cats are keeping things bearable

Yup

Yeah. Sadly

I hate all of this. On the proposer side it sucks and basically makes it so you’ll never get useful feedback. On the reviewer side, that’s way too much pressure.

Yeah. It’s just not how these things should happen.
