His name comes from cattus, Latin for cat, and von Flammenfell, "from flame fur," perfect for his glowing little soul.

I believe he may have been abandoned, but his spirit is gentle, curious, and full of quiet courage. Now I'm beginning the slow intro to Kato (who hasn't lived with another cat in 9 years!).

No swats, no bites, just instant sweetness and trust. A truly feral cat doesn't behave like that. We removed a tiny object from his paw, and he's been recovering and slowly adjusting to his new kingdom ever since.
