At the Inaugural Cardiorenal Metabolic Center (CRMC) Symposium. I am pleasantly surprised how natural the marriage of topics in kidney and heart feels. It is also very timely particularly with the GLP1s strongly influencing the way nephrologists and cardiologists practice.

Congratulations to Guoshen Cao for successfully defending her doctoral dissertation! She discovered an unexpected role for hepatic phospholipids in VLDL secretion. Her findings will be uploaded to biorxiv shortly.

Just noticed that it's been exactly 20 yrs since one of my all-time favorite exercise physiology paper came out. An elegant design directly testing a simple but provocative hypothesis that training diminishes, not enhances, the ability of acute exercise to stimulate AMPK.
