Students cannot master a new academic vocabulary word unless they practice using the word *out loud* multiple times in multiple contexts. True for #EBs, #MLs, #students in #poverty, #GT, #SPED, and #unlabelled students.

Of all the significant moments across my academi-creative journey from Africville to Emancipation to the Door of No Return, this one digs deep and feeds my soul. I feel humbled, empowered, and embraced by intersecting communities of colour who have entrusted me to carry forward their stories.
