I was so disappointed when I read the actual book that some of my favourite bits weren't in it!

Why are they allowed to deploy this kind of thing before they have regulatory approval?

So glad I live in the UK, where cybertrucks aren't road legal, let alone this nonsense.

Better than my hundreds of open tabs!

💯 I'm surprised so many people are making excuses for it.

Does he think he's the boss of everyone in the US now?

Weird how poor, backward Scotland can afford things like free buses, prescriptions, and university, but rich, superior England can't. It's almost like government priorities matter more than specific budgets.

Am I stupid? Because I don't understand how cutting federal government spending is supposed to help lower prices even in theory.

There were small dinosaurs too. It's just that the big ones get all the airtime.

I think the point of this is that online arguments are all about "owning" your opponent, which kills any chance of meaningful discourse and mutual understanding. Being able to have a civil discussion is a useful skill in any personal or professional relationship, regardless of your political views.

This is the kind of thing we should be reserving AI for, instead of destroying the planet to make deep fakes and slop.

It's so frustrating that politicians won't address the economic and social issues that people actually care about, and that so many people believe them when they blame immigrants for their own failures.

They need to replace the immigrants they're deporting somehow. 🤷‍♀️

I don't understand why they want to make robots people-shaped. There's no way that's the most efficient design and it's just creepy.

There's no way they'll be able to import enough white people to change the demographics of the US. I doubt even white nationalists would be willing to give up their healthcare and safer streets to live in MAGA-land.

Thank you! As an American living in the UK, this is one of the few Britishisms that really bugs me. Along with the way y'all pronounce Nike.

I don't think anyone's saying it's OK. Just an observation that as bad as some of the previous presidents have been, they weren't so hated that people protested against them as individuals.

We don't use them when it's just me and my partner, but if you need more than one room, a holiday rental is still cheaper. Also, my in-laws have dietary restrictions that mean we need to cook our own food when we travel with them. I imagine it's easier than a hotel with kids too.
