Went for a chilly autumnal walk late this afternoon. Think the Burrell Collection at twilight might be my new favourite thing. I don't think I've ever been there in fading light before.

It's not the easiest journey, Glasgow to Nottingham but it was thoroughly worth it to see the new exhibition by Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme at Nottingham Contemporary 'Prisoners of Love: Until the Sun of Freedom'

Govanhill Baths today as part of the Doors Open Days. Not been inside for over a decade (and it's even longer since swimming in it!). The work done by the local independent trust to save it is so impressive. I really hope they can raise the remaining funds to complete and partially re-open

We went out on a boat on the Clyde today. And I cannot recommend highly enough. A BLAST.

Not Glastonbury in the sun, but Glasgow in the rain. Brilliant though

Little Sparta yesterday for a special gathering as part of the events marking the centenary of Ian Hamilton Finlay's birth. An 'island kingdom' in the most land-locked place and an affirmation of the possibilities of transformation. Visit if you haven't.

Last visit to the Pompidou before it closes for renovations in September - for 5 years. Hard to imagine Paris without it. Still a startling physical presence in the city - and those views!

I won't be the only person in Scotland breathing a huge sigh of relief tonight after the long-awaited announcement of Creative Scotland's multi-year funding for the next 3 years. But I might be the only one doing so with spherical ice (thanks to a long-ago and seldom used present from a friend).

Tree down on our street. So sad. The second in a year. No one hurt and nothing damaged though, thankfully. #stormEowyn
