My favorite notebooks all have pockets/envelopes to hold my extraneous notes that get written on scrap paper and post-its when I'm not home where my notebooks live. The pockets get filled up fast.

At this point I have more notebooks that are too beautiful to write in than notebooks in which I allow myself to write.
