One of my favorite summertime activities is making jam and tonics from all of the delicious fruit!
This year’s immune-boosting tonic has elderberries, blackberries, garden huckleberries, lemon, ginger, & cinnamon). The jam used all the berries and stone fruit we harvested over 3 months 😅

Today’s garden harvest 🌱 It’s that time of year when the zucchini seems never ending! Trying to learn how to use them before they go bad (we can’t even give them away fast enough 😆). So far we’ve made some frozen meals and a casserole.

What an incredible trap plant this volunteer black nightshade turned out to be! It heavily infested by spider mites, aphids/ants, and one part even had leaf footed bugs! But almost none of those made it to the plants surrounding & touching it! #gardensky 🌱

The beginning of Fall planting is under way as the first sprouts have appeared in the greenhouse!

Tom Robbins was vital to my still being alive today. When I graduated university, I wrote him a 9-page letter on fancy stationery telling him about it. His reply came in the mail soon after 🥰 Such hard loss, esp. right after my mentor 😭 The works of both remind me to keep whimsy and love close 💕
