Considers Eurovision a season not just a Saturday night
Thought I'd try out something different today and wear a new shirt to work. After:
4x "Miss are you wearing PJs"
2x "It's giving Candycane"
2 x "Where's Wally"
1 x "Why is she dressed as a deck chair?" And
1 x "Miss, did your team win their match"
It's safe to say this shirt will be banished 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Can someone teach the BBC Presenters how to pronounce the town names they are talking about. Incredibly rude. Could you imagine them saying Worcester, Leicester or Ely wrong.

Absolutely gutted by the news about John Prescott. An absolute inspiration!

A reminder that the right to choose goes both ways, and that legal safe access to abortion protects both women who want/need one, and those who don't. At 16 some family members tried to force me to have abortion I didn't want. The only way to do this was via the doctor, who stopped it as I was...

Why's the bloke from Leeds train station so angry with Kamala 🤔

Great coverage of @neweconomics.bsky.social analysis by @sam-tims.bsky.social arguing that the two-child limit debate is failing to recognise the wider economic benefits of scrapping the policy

Alleviating poverty, particularly for children, should be seen as a sound investment - here's why... 🧵

Every time someone online says that kids in schools should just be able to get up and go to the toilet whenever, they should be put onto the toilet duty rota at their local secondary

Tell me you're outnumbered by kids without telling me you're outnumbered!

This is your annual reminder that Labour Party conference happens at a time when a huge part of the public sector cannot attend. Decisions will be made about Education Policy with very few of us that are in the classroom having an input.

We're all back at work and school tomorrow and the 6 month old is waking consistently in the night still. From 3am is a write off in terms of sleep. I don't have a PPA until Friday 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyone have any tips on surviving teaching sleep deprived (or even better some miracle to make the baby sleep!)

Good to see the Telegraph taking part in the annual GCSEs don't matter, whilst having a wealth of other connections to get them through. Stop telling working class kids their grades don't matter, they might not for middle class kids, but they do for working class kids without network to fall back on

Any recommendations for some decent education podcasts? Or podcasts in general?

I don't want to speak too soon, but in summer school this year, the incoming Year 7s were much more resilient and independent than in previous years. I think – I hope – things might be levelling out again...

Yes okay the DNC has some big performers but the Labour Conference has Karaoke and an angry former member outside giving out questionable leaflets. I think we all know who the real winners are here
Stevie Wonder and John Legend at the DNC tonight (+Oprah).

Lots of buzz about who’s going to be performing tomorrow when Kamala makes her big speech.

My youngest has his first settling in session at nursery today and my mood today can only be described as "sensitive" 😭

I was once a witness in court for a hate crime, and this adult mans lawyer asked me if I was certain he wasn't saying "cheeky". It was very hard to not laugh at the absurdity. He was found guilty.
I mean, to be fair, this is quite funny.

It has hit me that me and my OH are both back at work full-time next week, whilst juggling 3 kids at home. Suddenly feeling very outnumbered 😳😳😬

A fair few of our geography classes are being taught out of specialism this year. So I've started to put these together to support our non-specialists in KS3 🤞

We're on holiday and my sister went in to feed the cats today, she phoned me "when did you get a ginger cat? He came running down the stairs for food and fuss". I do not have a ginger cat.

This is incredibly welcome news, and long overdue. Incel fueled attacks have been going on for far too long, without being given the appropriate label. Hope we can see grooming of young lads online by these groups being seriously tackled too.
This is welcome news. It’s very clear that hatred of women & girls is rising, spurred on by the likes of tate etc. The rise in right wing politics also has an impact with bodily autonomy being attacked widely & misogynoir is even worse for our black & brown sisters. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Misogyny to be treated as extremism by UK government
The Home Office will look at hatred of women as one of the ideological trends that the government says is gaining traction.
