I sure hope rumors of democrats thinking of having in on the government shutdown are not true. Now is not the time, after winning in the election.

Democrats need to stop talking in abstract concepts and just talk about how they care and are working to solve the problems of average Americans (i.e. All Americans)

Reminder to fact check everything. There is misinformation on all sides.

Democrats should be proposing that during a government shut down congress doesn't get paid either.

Random thought: Many people on the religious right these days seem to use the term Faith to mean to follow and not question. Asking questions or wanting information is positioned as being unfaithful to God (or whoever is telling them what God wants), and that makes them Sinners! Faith as a chain :(

So tired of everything being painted as black and white, when really it's the many shades of brown, tan, beige, coffee, cacao, olive, almond, rose, cream, tan (and why is a dark tan considered good looking on a Caucasian but a negative if its inherited?).

Doesn't make sense to me

I don't know about you, but I'm so done with all of this extremes on both sides. When are we going to get back to a more rational middle ground, and really listen and try to do what works for everyone? Even those we don't agree with?

I hate to say it, but these days I'm actually rooting for Elon Musk. I've never liked him, and he's an assH egomaniac, but at least he is rational, has principles (even if twisted sometimes), and is able to learn. He's better than the alternative and hopefully can break up the current situation.

I'll start with: Life is uncertain in many ways, and you can't keep waiting for tomorrow to come to enjoy it. So eat the ice cream, watch the sunset, listen to the birds, and take a deep breath and really experience the world around you. Take a break from the screens!

I've decided I'm just going to post my random insights, some of which will be political, but others which are just about the various experiences of life because the internet seems to be only focused on the political these days, and hey, there is more to life that that!! (Thank God!)
