Nice! Fun examples like this are helping me get through the hard parts of re-learning dev basics and getting up to speed on all the cool new features in CSS. When I get discouraged, I just go browse the blogs / codpens of all you elite CSS wizards to remind myself what's possible.

Right? On the one hand, it can feel wildly overcomplicated. On the other hand, I'm in awe of what's possible now and I just want to inject all the knowledge straight into my brain so I can get on with building cool things.

The crazy amount of progress all the base languages have made, the insane amount of tools, frameworks, pre-processors, post-processors, bundlers, templating languages, accessibility standards, cross-browser / mobile compatibility, security issues, and privacy legalities are a touch overwhelming.

I actually did find it distracting, having any bright color on the screen in the app where I'm trying to design drove me crazy! I was one of the ones who complained for sure 😁 I do wish we could disable it fully though, the more UI customization the better.
