I think this is it! 10 hoops, 11 support straps, I don't even know how many yards of bias tape, but I think we are there! Don't mind the masking tape holding it together where I ran out of joiners 🤣. I'll upgrade eventually.

Hoops were not majestic enough, so I'm adding more steel! Started with an additional 40" at the bottom ring and adjusting up from there. I'll most likely need 10 support straps for it to hang evenly. Don't worry, kitty approves 😉

First try-on of the hoops! I'll make some small adjustments before finalizing but I already love them.

You can't have a giant 1860s gown without a hoop crinoline! As a very tall curvy person the premade versions are not an option so I'm making mine. Send all the positive sew-jo ✨🧵✨🧵✨💖

I am struggling with the volume of hand sewing techniques on this vest. I'm still very new to historical garments, but uff, why do it by hand when you can use the machine?
