Just an internet lady who happens to be tall, a gamer (tt and pc), an electrician, trans, chainmail/wire wrapper, gothy, anosmic, left handed and left bottom cornered politically, lesbian, agnostic theist, and so much more.
I don’t disagree though the fact they are barely on this map at all is somehow more insulting and satisfying as an Eagles fan.

Only if your wife is ignoring you because she’s the warden dealing with the aftermath of said prison break.

Ignoring the rights framing of Trans folk and our struggles always comes with the extra cost of making it harder to defend other vulnerable groups when similar framing is used against them. Throwing us under the bus instead of having our backs is not only bad morally but tactically as well.

Bigotry makes for predictable bedfellow.
November 15, 2025 at 10:22 AM
Then say that. “A third of eligible voters elected him” doesn’t have the same impact as “half the country voted for him” though does it. Framing things in ways that set up the narrative you want that lacks nuance is always useful propaganda. He doesn’t have a mandate. Most people aren’t fascist.

Green energy is actually way cheaper to install now than other alternatives. China isn’t thinking long term or about the environment as much as they want to expand their capacity quickly and affordability. Why don’t we? It’s not as profitable to our utility and oil companies. Capitalism baybee!
November 12, 2025 at 11:37 AM
No they didn’t. I‘m terrible at math but even I know that 77 million isn’t half of 346 million. This was propaganda started by Republicans lying about how he “won a mandate“ and fueled by centrists who want to move the Democratic party further to the right. A third of eligible voters didn’t vote.

On top of all this we simply do not have the trained labor force to make new power plants and increased infrastructure in anything less than decades long projects. Thats if we started massive incentivized training programs for linesmen right now which there are no plans to do.
November 11, 2025 at 11:05 AM
The grid in the US is in dire need of updating due to power companies being incentivized to only maintain with a shoestring budget. Between that and our green energy programs getting cut our options for expanding our capacity affordably and quickly are severely diminished.

Let’s go one further. Any candidate that takes anything other than small donations as well doesn’t pledge campaign reform that allows super pacs and other dark money funding need to be primaried. It’s the only way we actually have a shot to take back our democracy.
November 10, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Propaganda is one hell of a drug.
November 10, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Giving into your opponent’s framing never gives you an advantage in politics. It’s been beyond frustrating watching Democratic politicians keep failing for the same centrist losing strategy with all the evidence like these polls to the contrary. Hopefully more Dems will start waking up to reality.

Our existence isn’t political. Our struggle to be treated like humans is political. Our existence isn’t any more political than the existence of any other minority group forced to engage politically to fight against their oppression.
November 4, 2025 at 5:20 AM
There’s consequences when Democrat politicians give in to the right wing framing of trans issues rather than listen to how we frame our own lives and needs.

Between this and RFK Junior’s ”Wellness Farms” idea to put those with clinical depression and addiction to work as treatment it’s pretty clear how the regime intends to replace the migrant farm workers they’re deporting with any citizens they consider undesirable imprisoned in work camps.
November 2, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Propaganda is like incoming artillery. You never heard the one that gets you.
November 1, 2025 at 3:26 PM
Do they think financial anxiety somehow makes people more creative and ambitious? Seems like something an exploitive bootstrap cartoon villain would come up with.

You could always do it to fool your enemies into thinking you’re not the protagonist while sowing the seeds for decoys…er the next generation.
October 19, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Solid plan. No notes.
October 19, 2025 at 2:22 PM
I imagine the purity testing is ok as long as it’s done by centrists who would rather run a corrupt right leaning candidate than support a more progressive and popular one that might actually be effective without throwing trans folk under a bus.
October 18, 2025 at 10:25 AM
The US economy is basically being held up by three data centers in a trench coat at this point. That’s a ridiculous amount of investment that’s going to get torched as soon as this bubble pops. Billionaires would rather burn their money than invest in anything that lifts up the working class.
October 16, 2025 at 12:16 PM
It’s apparently not fascism until it’s too late to do anything about it.
October 6, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Trying to keep positive with this but the cynic in me worries that our community is only being included to be negotiated away later. I hope I’m wrong but Dems have a long history of throwing us under the bus when we need them the most. We need to keep the pressure up now more than other.

We Americans are pretty bad at fun and silly. Could probably write a dissertation on how our hyper individualism and encouraged suppression of empathy have led to humor that’s more focused on being sarcastic and “edgy” than fun and entertaining. We’ve become hard. Maybe we always were.
