It’s beautiful! Could you use interchangeable cable needles with extenders to help with the ladder in the middle since that bothers you? Something like this:

My favorite to eat is mashed potatoes with gravy. My favorite that I have a recipe for is green bean casserole (but with fresh green beans instead of canned!).

Green bean casserole
[serves 5-6]
16 oz fresh green beans
1/2 can (~5oz) cream of mushroom soup (heart healthy version)
2-3 Tbs of milk
1/2 tsp minced garlic
Sprinkle of black pepper
Sprinkle of garlic herb seasoning
1 cup French's fried onions
Preheat oven to 350.
Trim, cut, and rinse green beans.
Blanch beans for 5 minutes in boiling water.
Drain beans and put into a casserole dish.
Mix soup, milk, garlic, 1/4 cup of fried onions, and spices. Pour over and mix into beans.
Cook uncovered for 25 minutes.
Stir.
Cover top of beans with the remaining fried onions and cook for 5 minutes or until onions
