Not too sure about being the same age as these old folks....
Born and bred in The Black Country
The man is an empty space held together by a well cut suit bought by someone else.
He is a windsock, for a lawyer he is a terrible communicator, he is just terrible at the job he SHOULD be doing, but very good at the job some shadowy forces placed him in.
Who pulls his strings??

What we need is for our windsock PM to pick a direction, a THING, a principle and stick to it.
He is the archetype of "Where are my people going, I must lead them!
Useless individual

We do need stability, but the basic foundation HAS to be there.
Starmer has the intrinsic stability of a swamp.

The PM's biggest problem is that he is an empty space held together by a well-cut suit bought by someone else.
The man is a complete windsock, guided not by principle but the prevalent wind

Do I find it suspicious?
Yes.
Do I find it surprising?
Absolutely not.
His class, his cabal, see taxes and rules as a thing for 'other people'
He doesn't care, and doesn't need to care, what's anyone going to do about it
