Just got this working on my PC with PSVR2, works incredibly well! Has allowed me to crank my settings in HL Alyx up massively without much performance change. Really impressed.

What an astonishing read. Actual evil right there. Good lord.

And then when you inevitably revisit areas with upgrades there might be specific bits where those survivors return to help you for specific tasks, but even that Im not so sure about.

Either way I dig it and I dont get at all why people are so angry, its giving *performative outrage* to me
November 15, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Suspect each area is going to be structured similarly with you doing some solo exploration, stumble upon a survivor, have a little section where you rescue them and they prove their skills and personalities, then drop them off at some hub. People thinking theyre gonna be Samus' Navi are mad to me
November 15, 2025 at 5:11 AM
So yeah think Nintendo has done the game a disservice with that a lil bit

Like its one of those situations where press were given less information than the audience will have when previews drop which both leads to a lot of pointless speculation in preview coverage and also sometimes bizarre narratives forming based on contradicting information
November 14, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Most previews also worry about said annoying character being the only interaction in the game and being present the whole time, when the overview trailer that dropped today shows that isnt the case. Feel it maybe would've been good to let press see that Overview trailer during the preview
November 14, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Like I think theres a WORLD of difference between previews saying "I found this one character to be annoying" and "Prime 4 is ruined because it has betrayed the core appeal of Metroid, unlike Prime 3 which did the same thing"

Like cmon now

Like yeah its really cool and fun and interesting and horrifying and Im really excited to see more unravel and be explored but I feel some people are watching with deep assumptions they arent willing to explore properly and are saying the writing is bad because of it. Very odd.
November 9, 2025 at 12:02 AM
The fact that you can't really know one way or the other is why its sort of horrifying but also interesting, and its why the other *individuals* being so happy with it is both quite understandable but also the discomfort in seeing the individuality of their family members slip being quite revealing
November 9, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Thats what makes the writing and the drama interesting. The We genuinely might be a happy unity of all human experience while preserving the individual thoughts and experiences of everyone involved to the point where your family can still act like your family and feel normal, but it might not be
November 8, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Like yeah youre meant to feel like the "We" has effectively killed everyone, that's the vibe and the position the protag is seeing the events through. But youre also meant to like *take in* the information and accounts in-world that contradict that viewpoint
November 8, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Like as someone who finds the concept terrifying and deeply disturbing for reasons I struggle to express coherently I am fascinated by the show. But I feel some people are just assuming things about the mechanics of the show to justify their own horror instead of engaging with the writing
November 8, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Just finished watching both episodes
Absolutely intoxicating (and lowkey terrifying) concept, with such stellar execution. Really exciting!

Its like people are already used to a worse status quo than we actually have. But as someone who lived without stable internet for many years I am keenly aware of the differences between a game install and a game *download*
But I think many who havent lived without internet dont see the difference
November 7, 2025 at 1:01 PM
People genuinely think other platforms' physical media already work the same as Key Cards due to needing to install files to the console. A lot of people don't understand that there's a HUGE difference between offloading data from a disc to a console and having to download the entire game online.

Big "Someone at Disney said the film isnt funny enough and audience members might not get central plot concepts unless theyre reexplained 5 times" energy

Tetris Effect may genuinely be my favourite game of all time at this point. Nothing has left quite as strong an impression on me in many years.

Such a treat, especially in VR

To be clear I also really tried to love Starfield, it felt like it was going to really be my jam, but after 60 hours of bland quests, bland exploration, barely serviceable procedural generation (there's like 4 structures in the entire game that just get copy pasted verbatim?) I was left a bit hollow
