Yes! Thank you for posting. This sentiment somewhat challenged by the recent government, but still largely true. Glad you are enjoying the book!

And may it fall into the loving hands of the community you have built and supported. They will support you back.

If I could start over, I'd start doing this immediately.

PRODUCT: Now that you know what it takes to get attention to build an audience, you know your community well, and have their contact details, it's time to ideate the product/offering they need.

Now, it's time to work on your idea 💡.

COMMUNITY: Sign those people up to join a community where they can connect, learn more, and get to know each other.

Help this community in real and practical ways.

Build a Google groups, WhatsApp group, Mighty Networks community, or host regular Zooms or in-person events.

In fact, IMO, at least 80% of the work is attracting people's attention - just getting new people to see your idea.

It's no joke. There's a real science to getting the attention of thousands of people.

The funnel comes first. Way before you have an idea of what you want to make.

Once you've been in the pit a few times, you realize the art of impact is not to come up with a great idea and start building it (although that is fun).

An experienced climate entrepreneur or campaigner knows to work on the systems that attract people in - and that's where the real work lies.

If you've ever tried to make something, you've probably been here: The Pit of Engagement Dispiar.

I've done it many times.

First-time makers/founders always fall down here.
