I’ve been wanting to do another insect character design for Moth to the Flame for a while now, I feel like I haven’t been able to finish much in between commissions lately. I knew I wanted to do something cool with the death’s-head hawkmoth, and this seemed perfect for it!

Decided to polish up another design I had in the WIP pile for tonight, say hello to Anguilla! I’ve been fiddling with this one for quite a while, it’s a combo of concepts that required a very delicate balance of colours and patterns that was tough to figure out at first.

And now, Soleil’s reference sheet to cap off the month! Nice to have this done along with her logo now :) She is of course based on the golden sun moth like Apollo is, but I got extra lucky that its caterpillar happened to already have warm and fiery colours as well!
