if you find this thread interesting I recommend the book Flow written by Csikszentmihályi where the studies originate from
something I found interesting is that Flow is neutral, and can be used for positive or negative experiences, however as artists we can direct this to enhance our creativity!

No one besides Abby ever understood her. But now that her first girlfriend is gone, she wonders who she is without Abby. Claire thought she could get used to seeing the ghoulish apparition of Abby haunting her until the new girl, Carla, moved into town. Now, Claire has a reason to give her life among the living a new attempt. Now, Claire must conjure up all her bravery and find a way to break up with her Ghoulfriend, once and for all. Abby Lenore Abby was a spunky and impish teenager who loved playing pranks on her girlfriend Claire. Who would have known with her untimely death, she would come back as such a spiteful ghoul. Fused to Claire through their mutual love spell, she will do everything to make sure she is not forgotten. Carla’s parents have moved around the world and decided to anchor down to help Carla focus on graduating from high school. Carla has just moved into the foggy city where Claire has lived her whole life. Carla is just... so cool! That’s what Claire thinks, but the way Abby sees things, she’s never going to let them get close. Carla is also into alternative fashion and music like Claire, but she doesn’t see this as a weird thing. It’s what makes her feel alive! She’ll take Claire exploring new places and show her she has a place where she belongs.
