I’ve been on Reddit for too long. I was waiting for someone to drop an article on how the average American fist was smaller back in the 1960’s or something

He’s not really desperate for “trade deals”. He just needs to collect any income from the tariffs that he can to fund the “sovereign fund”.

We should also ignore the fact that nobody knows exactly where this sovereign fund is, the current balance, or who or what it is being “invested” in.

You don’t have any money and you won’t get any money. This administration and Congress are miles apart on the country’s budget.

Chapter 11?

Real talk tho, the idea is to gauge the other side’s perceived weakness or confidence. You could deduce how comfortable someone is in their own position by testing their response to some insane proposal.

Does it work? meh, it’s not the best option; but once in timeline it might.

To be fair, these policies are moving us back at least 75 years.

It’s that little known fact they try to hide in the timeshare presentation… when you are anywhere off of this planet, living underground is almost guaranteed.

It is true, coal burning in the U.S. has been all but replaced by liquid natural gas (LNG) and coal simply cannot compete.

Coal is still an export tho. India is a huge importer and the EU has increased imports recently.

But… importers of U.S. coal will very likely tariff it in response, lol

Hold up. Is this the same Bill Ackman who (supposedly) manipulated trades in realtime using media FUD?

Come on bro, don’t act like you’ve never seen this play in practice, lol

Btw… this is all BEFORE the Q1 report that should come out sometime next month.

It will be the first full quarter of global sales since the election began and has a good chance to be a bloodbath of a report.

I mean, you’ll live but you may only get big publisher “propaganda” to read at bedtime.

That said, everyone should be moving toward the doors.

Listening to Mike Johnson and the other Republicans explain what’s happening feels like listening to middle managers who don’t know they’ve been fired.

“EA! It’s in the game!”

Awesome. Which game was it in again?
February 5, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Not easily, no.

First, there is a distinction between enforcement of tax collections and what the administration does with the money.

The only clear way out would be secession, and that is a sticky and difficult process.

I predict we will see honest blue state secession proposals by next year.

The real “buried lead” in the move was removal of the $800 de minimis rule.

USPS stopping packages was irrelevant, some major retail services (Amazon, Temu, SHEIN…) are now cooked.

Many people don’t realize there were U.S jobs that sprung up around processing de minimis packages - also cooked
