I will need every day of this week and probably this weekend to recover, and that’s with me just laying on the couch watching TV all day. It would take weeks to recover if I tried to push myself to work, especially in an office.

1 - Soooo grateful to work at an org where that is the policy!! 2 - That should be standard!!!
Also, I will never tolerate anyone saying “just” the flu again. It’s MISERABLE and so much worse than a cold. At one point I thought my face would explode because my sinuses couldn’t take anymore pressure

With the help of friends, old and new (and my therapist), I’m starting to feel like me again and I’m beginning to heal. I want to give the hugest thanks in the multiverse to @hartsea.bsky.social. She has held my hand every step of the way and loved me when I couldn’t. I love you forever, friend. ❤️
