Truly heartbroken to hear this news. As a former elementary school librarian I always made time each year to read the book, Me Jane, to my students and followed it up with her chimpanzee hug video. It was always amazing to me to see what an impact she had on even the youngest of children.

This response makes me sad. I am an active member of the LWV and believe in the principles it stands for. But these are not normal times. If we stand by and let the GOP redistrict red states without pushback, we are very likely never to have fair elections again.

I’m confused. Does “fighting” mean supporting a corrupt person like Charles Kusher? Maybe you should lead by example instead of spouting useless words. If you need to see what that looks like, watch your fellow senators like Chris Murphy or Brian Schatz.
