No but it manages investments for pension plans along with pension trustees. Pension plans for example CPP, Ontario Teachers,QPP,etc.

Why should Brookfield be treated differently than other asset management companies. PM Carney worked for Brookfield, he didn’t own it.

In the case of pension funds, the end benefactor pays the income tax, those who don’t understand that want pension plans taxed twice and possibly face reduced pension payments.

Yes it is true, even sometimes book titles, Freshmarket Close was changed to Freshmarket Alley for the US edition. Fortunately I live in Canada so we get the British edition.

You’re right that isn’t accurate either, news organizations have to step up their accountability for providing accurate information. Headline writers need to be less sensational and more accurate.

I disagree, the actual pay raises for each group is accurate reporting. Why devalue the increase for lower ranks and inflate for higher ranks.

I disagree, PM Carney does realize it. In his various careers he has met all the players. With the BoE he was part of the EU until Brexit, meeting with all the Governors of the various EU banks, etc, his connections are invaluable to Canada at this time of turmoil.

A lot of us knew but with the so called leader of his majesty’s loyal opposition denigrating PM Trudeau at every level and people sucking up the misinformation like a Dyson it’s hard to cut through that.
