IMHO Americans are - in general & comedians more so - too independent & competitive. This must be taken into account to make a US version work. I wouldn't go with regular standups, but people who know how to work with others to make a show funny/stronger: comedic actors, SNL cast, improvers, etc.

I don't know her personally, but having read @ceilidhann.bsky.social (Kayleigh Donaldson)'s stuff for years and knowing she's an expert in both film and romance, I have to throw her name in the mix.

I cannot tell you how few copies these kinds of books sell, so your purchase has a massively outsized effect. I will send you a firstborn child. I don't have one of my own, so just someone's at random. That is how much I appreciate you supporting this book.
