Hero Factory was also pretty "unposeable" in its first run. The Mata and Nuva were literally Bionicle's first legs until focusing more on articulation with the Hordika and Mahri. And fair, the futuristic aesthetic appealed to you more than the mechanical look of Bionicle

They were never going to be making money off of it, it's entirely a fan project. Maybe try reading the statement from the team themselves, Mr. Writer?
