I have several species of Hoya entwined across my window. They are heavy with half orbs of pink flowers with a darker pink centre.

The Top End has lots of fires in the dry season. Not good to breathe but it makes for a magnificent #sunset.

Lots of trees do this, mostly in the tropics or subtropics, I think. I have a small cauliflorous (flowering from the trunk) tree in my garden. I love it! As do the butterflies ...

The Yellow Saraca is a tropical tree with large clusters of yellowy orange cauliflorous flowers (they grow from the trunk of the tree rather than branch tips). This one was in Darwin Botanic Gardens.

I saw many feral donkeys on my driving trip across the top of the Northern Territory. I know they're a feral menace, but I still think they are beautiful.
Came across quite a few feral donkeys in biggish family groups on my trip. This small herd of three (with one looking at me) included a shaggy youngster.

Anyone else see a sketch of a landscape with a tree on a hill in this image?

This is a photo I took from the plane on my way to the NT. I couldn't look away - seeing the way water has shaped the landscape was fascinating. Zoom in and you'll see dotted trees alongside the waterways.
This is a photo I took from the plane of channel country in Queensland. Small rivulets are fringed with dotted trees and white salt pans dot the landscape. High-country creeks draining into the valley below make it looks like trees growing on a hillside.

I was lucky to see a purple-crowned fairywren on my Northern Territory trip recently. What a stunning little bird! #birds
This gorgeous purple-crowned fairywren perched on some dry twigs has a pale breast, deep purple crown and a dark blue tail. It's Australia's largest fairy wren.

Keep River National Park was my last stop before the return trip to Darwin. The rocks, the trees, the limey-green spinifex after fire ... Just magical. #NorthernTerritory
I walked through this rugged, red-rocked gorge in Keep River National Park in north-western Northern Territory. Trees with white trunks and green-grey leaves dotted the landscape, and limey green spinifex after fire grew in patches.
