I wake up with no thoughts of yesterday. I focus on the new day with the goal of being a better version of myself. I focus on making the day better for those around me.

I believe that everything that happens, good or bad, builds us into who we are meant to be. But I refuse to let mistakes and failures define me. I go to sleep with a lighter heart.

Congress (both parties) are brilliant at giving you something to be outraged against. Something designed to cause division. Meanwhile, they are raking in lobbyist money.

Especially because they repeatedly accuse seniors of being “scammers and cons” for collecting the social security you paid for. They are gutting Medicare and social security while you pay for their extravagant lifestyles.

Maybe a better thing to complain about is why members of Congress collect their full salary and benefits for the rest of their lives, even if they only serve one day. Does that bother you? It should.

Congress is saying no because they are owned by the finance companies. This is disgusting and should not be allowed. Student loans should not have interest.

They have paid for it. Many times over.
My friend has paid $600/m for 25 yrs. That’s $180,000. She has another 5 yrs of payments. That’s an $36,000. That’s $216,000 total. Her original loan was $80,000. Her loan has been repeatedly sold. Each sale brings new fees and higher interest rates.
