When you are in need, persevere. For those who follow Dharma, the resource you need will find you. For those who follow Kharma, people will find you. Neither are very reliable couriers of aid, but they will keep trying, as should you.

I've made many things in my life, but this story is the one thing I have made that I feel proud of. I know it is filled with errors and probably difficult to understand, but so is life. How better to tell a story of life, than through the same errors and misunderstandings that created it?

There is great beauty in being inspired by other works. To create something new from what was is to see the emotions in another's art and try to express those emotions you feel through your own art. Through enough work, eventually those emotions become inspired, but now original.

A moral compass is an attribute, not a skill. It is not an activity to be flaunted, it is a path in life they choose to adhere to. Morality is not binary like justice is. One can be moral, while in violation of justice; just ask any trolley problem. Morality is a direction, not a destination.

Great power demands an equally great moral compass; I feel the need to say that. Kharma was supposed to be a system of empowering those it deemed worthy, but it has long since stopped being a judge of character, instead being a judge of popularity. Popularity is not a measure of one's moral compass.

Well, I think I should probably go back to just posting book related posts and content. Maybe some quotes from time to time too, but I don't think I will be reaching an audience through randomly reply posting.

It shows that the souls of Kharma are in bad headspace lately, so maybe I should offer my perspective? As someone who walks the path of Dharma, I am used to failure, setbacks, and at times an unwinnable struggle based purely on principle. Life's journey is meant to be shaped, not wielded precisely.

Every life has value, and every life has something they value. Knowing each life is fleeting but valuable, only one question remains. Just what do you value enough that you are willing to spend your life on it?

Making a "perfect" book is overrated; making a uniquely flawed but enjoyable book is difficult. You can pay people (or machines some day...) to print you the most "optimal" chain of errorless sentences, but making art that is flawed in your own way is something only you can do.

It took me a long time in life to realize not everyone is built to live a life walking through the darkness. It is not a life for everyone, but the inverse is also true. There's something to be learned from both walks of life; if only we would take the time to learn such lessons outside our bubbles.

Today is a, frustrating, day. I know I will get through it all the same, but I know the issues frustrating me will still remain all the same. This is going be a negatively tinged post, so feel free to leave it behind if you are not ready for such. This is going to be a long thread:

Well, guess break time is over. Colors of the Soul is out, so its time for me to get back to writing the Sentinel Stories series. Though, it does worry me that Kharma may continue to ask for my attention for the next few months. Oh well, I will do the best I can, with what I have.
January 20, 2025 at 5:54 AM
Kharma seems to be quite active today. Many people seem to be in need. Do what you can, with what you have. Accept the result, whatever it may be. Know that we are all shaped by our circumstances, so merely do what you can without regret. Even if all you can do is survive, do so without regret.

Either way, at least this time I am under no illusion that this book is going to be relevant any time soon. I released the first Colors of the Soul thinking the world needed it, this time I release it knowing it is there should the world want it. A lot has changed, but much remains the same.
January 18, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Looking back, quite a lot has changed since I first release Colors of the Soul, and yet so much remains the same. Back then I also felt compelled to release the book due to the state of the world, but back then I allowed it to force me to release it before I felt it was ready.

Colors of the Soul is now available: www.amazon.com/dp/B0DT8FPKSQ

This book is not going to be like my others, in that this book is more of a spiritual guidance/self help book. The rest of my books will be regular stories books, but this one is meant to help people understand themselves and others.

There is beauty in our imperfect efforts to make our ideas real. There is art in our attempts to manifest our intent through the restrictions of our capabilities. Life is found through our struggles against what we have, to reach what we want. Limitations helped shape the successes that inspire us.
January 17, 2025 at 7:49 AM
I can say that it is finally done. I have finished and uploaded the second edition of Colors of the Soul, now I just wait for it to publish. I will make another post once the links are available. At least this time I know I did the best I could with what I have. It may have mistakes, but no regrets.
January 17, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Well then, the first review of Colors of the Soul is done. Now I just need to run it through some spell checks, and check it again. Despite all of that, I am sure it will still have typos all the same. After all, in choosing my fate, I have chosen my weaknesses.

It is funny how history repeats itself. Back in 2020, when I first wrote the original version of Colors of the Soul, I told myself I needed to release it soon to help of all the people suffering. Of course I can count the number of readers it had on one hand now. I won't repeat that mistake again.

The samsara, 6 domains in which the soul can reside, each a color of the soul. We spend our lives wandering through the samsara, looking for ourselves, for our home.

Don't think I will include this in my Colors of the Soul book. I feel like it is a bit too abstract for good comprehension.

Hm, alright, maybe the whole "just socialize more thing" is not something that works for me. Think it is probably about time I get back to focusing on my work instead.

When I think about what I have in life, I remind myself of this: I don't need excess, I just need success. Whatever form that takes, be it a small book that helps a few, or a massive book that helps many. Success is a goal, excess is when wealth has no goal.

The base text of Colors of the Soul is finally done. Now its time for editing...

The final part of the book is on the subject of hope. Hope is the purest form of energy from a soul, but it is that purity that makes it so unstable. Hope may be powerful, but it is quickly overpowered by reality.
