I went into a drawing trance the other night and made 12 of these marker on paper towel drawings that I’m calling KKKarens. Some white women are sliding us all back centuries it feels like because they can’t give up their proximity to white patriarchal power. I can’t keep quiet.

I didn’t attend protests yesterday because I live in Canada, but I’m American and this is my protest art and statement. The work is made from Lego. #nokings

I spoke about how much damage RFK has done this morning and my 9yr old autistic son asked me who I was talking about. A minute later he said, “so KFC is a bad guy like Trump?” And I didn’t want to correct him. From now on I’m letting my kid believe this is RFK. #autism

My take on #charliekirk is that is was never a safe person and built his life on making others feel his own level of insecurity. This is the opposite of doing good in the world. I will not mourn his death.

I don’t own a cat but I have the next best thing. This is Loki, our neighbors cat. Yesterday I caught him being as long as he could be and he looked like a cat super hero surveiling the scene below. #cats

My thinking is very rigid these days as I look at how humanity is divided. I was taught people are mostly good but I think people are mostly selfish and the rest are lies we tell ourselves to make it easier to sleep knowing how complicit we are in participating in unjust systems for our comfort.

I’m sure I could have been more poignant or articulate if I’d attempted to compose myself but I have to say, I’m genuinely sick of composure. How can anyone be composed right now? More thoughts in second post. I know only like 4 people will listen but I have to keep trying.

Please watch. Please act. Whether it’s protesting, donating, writing your reps, going on strike, speaking out, all are better choices than remaining silent through genocide. Israel is not acting in self defense, but illegally and with intent to end the Palestinian people. #savegaza

There is no excuse for continuing to ignore the intentional starving of the Palestinian people by Israel. Stop going about your capitalist business as if the world isn’t sinking into a place most of us don’t want to live in. #savegaza
