unfortunately I never outgrew the object personification stage of childhood development so I currently have beef with my parents’ roomba. it ate some jewelry I had sitting on my bedroom floor a month ago and now every time I see it wandering the house I get palpably annoyed. a genuine resentment.

when I was getting off the sauce and going to AA at 22yo we would have parties where we’d countdown to midnight for someone reaching 1y sober. anyway I remember being like “damn it’s only 12 why’s the party over” ??? now at 8y sober I need at least 1 business week’s notice if I’m to be out past 8pm
