A quiet Friday night in, knitting & reading an intriguing new @bitterlemonpress.bsky.social ARC 🙏 Jurica Pavicic’s Red Water, tr. Matt Robinson. It’s the first Croatian crime novel I’ve read and is excellent thus far. Set btw 1989 & 2017, it explores a disappearance & turbulent historical period 💙📚

Enjoying reading R. F. Kuang’s BABEL, whose subtitle is “An Arcane History of the Oxford Translators’ Revolution”. Must find/make a list of novels starring translators. There really are lots of them! 📚💙
