Similarly, I think politicians should be paid more, especially at state levels. Professionals can’t run because they can’t afford the pay cut. In Michigan, our lawmakers make $71k - Less than a late career teacher! That means the only people who run are either retired, wealthy, or underemployed.

I understand your position, but usually think about these differently. An org of this size needs someone qualified to lead, and must compete with corporate salaries. Someone with that skill set is unlikely to work on a volunteer basis.

I would also like it if Bush stepped up, but I can understand why he and the others don’t. They have completed their service and they are elderly. Doing so would absolutely put them and their families in danger.

File the clock comment under “Boomer fantasy crit and “Things that Never Happened”. My kids are 11, 13, 18, and all had clock diagram worksheets in about second grade. They tell time.
I’ve had about 300 college students x 18 years, all who regularly read the analog clocks on every classroom wall.

I’m going to start assisting outside of men’s bathrooms. So many “men” entering appear to be seven or eight months pregnant, sometimes more.
