Interesting, yes, in reading about it, I can see how the Fairness Doctrine’s demise left citizens with little exposure to alternative points of view in programming, if they were only tuning in to specific cable or podcast programming, and didn’t on their own go seek out differing points of view.

Joann, it is perplexing that this age group’s veterans are mostly proponents of MAGA. What do you attribute this to?

I’ve “almost” signed up for this several times. The information could have provided details helpful in dealing with a health condition. Glad I did not.

A simple self agenda

We’ve been watching all the birds gathering at and under the feeders. And the hawks hovering nearby ready to pick off the unwary ones. No casualties so far at our little feeding centers-there’s a shrub rose they fly into the moment the bluejays raise the alarm.

When I think of hearing a Russian speak their version of “cash” I hear it in my head as «кеш».
Do you think the translation spelling could be based more on the phonetics of common Russian pronunciation than a strict phonetic translation of the English language sound?
