Much is rightly being made of the domination tone of the Noem video. Stacks of anonymous men of color caged by Noem, looking more Hollywood than “Homeland Security.” But it does more than that: she’s a model for Trump women, “sexy & strong”; a thirst trap for RW men; & bait for non-Trumpers… 5/

This tracks with my longtime reading in Trumpland: claims from men and women that Trump-supporting women are “sexier” than libs because they’re “real” women. Such claims come from the top down. (&, another thread, have a male parallel, too.) 4/

I agree with everything in your statement, except Fox is not a news agency and should never be referred to as such. It’s Fox Entertainment. I hate that they are allowed to peddle lies and propaganda with no repercussions.

I believe the next election’s biggest challenge will be to make sure Elon Musk’s hackers don’t repeat what they did in the 2024 election. Both Drumpf and Musk have both claimed publicly that they rigged the election and nobody seems to be taking them seriously.
