At some point I’ll do a thread that overviews the chapters in more detail, so watch this space. But for now, it is going to be an affordable(?!) academic textbook, and please ask your library to buy one!!

You don't do the research, and you've nothing to offer elsewhere/on your CV anyway. It is really, repeatedly terrible for people in my position, and I don't know why UCU aren't engaging more with this.

My only experience so far is of senior academics e.g. saying that my book being already out makes a good reason not to give me a job, or starting the process of laying claim to my outputs prior to my redundancy this year. Would be nice to hear if anyone is engaging with the issue more positively.

Frankly I don't see them even commenting on the issue, so I am not sure "struggle" is the right term. That might imply more effort was going in to doing something than is apparent.

Any chance they've got some not-yet-revealed plan to import some big-name bowlers which meant it made sense to have Taylor leave? Otherwise it does really seem like they are leaving a big gap in their squad here!

Yes, it's definitely clear, useable and fairly often updated, which makes it especially useful!

This was the database Rochat used in that survey of time periods (she says helpfully... but hopefully you remember the ref!) - and it's actually the database I use for my m/f protagonist counting. It's definitely not comprehensive, but it is at least quite large...!

Week 9 is Antigone and Week 10 is Euripides Suppliant Women, and those are potential lists of *very* different lengths...
Assembly-Women seems to have been far less popular than Lysistrata. Etc!
