One of the things I miss most about academia is having students. Finally I have some of those academic vibes back with two students starting this week in my lab for the summer.

Seeing as it’s been a while: What are everyone’s favourite tips for helping new students settle into your lab?

The countdown is on until trouble 1 (Vex, tux girl) and trouble 2 (Trinket, ginger boy) finally join me in New Zealand. It’s been a long 2 years without them but they will be touching down in February from the UK and I cannot wait to boop their little noses again!

I mostly ditched the bad place a while ago, but it seems like things are getting going here, so here I am. I've been missing following my favourite sci comm people so I guess it’s time to find them here!
