nature journal page of arugula flowers (the petals look like butterflies!) and a sneaky small carcass of a post-life aphid. Surprisingly interesting with superlong horns and branches coming off it's butt-side.

Fun with patterns, questions, and bees. Draw a honeycomb and ask questions. So fun.
I was today years old when I realized you can draw a honeycomb patterns by writing the letter Y over and over and over. It's pretty easy, but it takes practice to stay consistent. Image showing rows of "Y"s in lines, creating a honeycomb pattern. Wikipedia says that honeycomb cells aren't geometrically "perfect" which is kinda a relief. Perfection is exhausting. You could also do it by making zig-zags (image of horizontal zig-zag) and then lines (diagram showing vertical lines dropping down from zig-zag) BUT the Y method is much more fun. It's like every little Y is a question, and it's fun to be curious. And now when I write the letter Y...I think of honeybees and their amazing homes and all the things we don't know about them, and how nature is an infinite *mystery*. Thank Wikipedia and all the bee-folks caring for the bees.
