They were meant to be safe in these tents. The truth is there is nowhere safe in Gaza. People are trapped, denied aid, denied medical treatment, desperate & dying. While our government watches on. The Home Office suggested they get a visa from Cairo, which is impossible.

I don’t think what he said qualifies as an apology. He said it was the cut and thrust of debate and implied I couldn’t handle it. My issue isn’t about a difference of political opinion, it’s about courtesy & aggressively interrupting me while I was making a point of order is not acceptable.

He said it as he was walking out of the chamber so not caught on mics but you can see him marching towards me - Sinéad McLaughlin heard & made a point of order in relation to his behaviour.

But you charging out to defend me & Sinead jumping to her feet is a reminder of how women support women - and thankfully what has changed is there are more of us elected! X
