70s Disco... won first place!

I put off reading "Eruption" (Michael Crichton and James Patterson) because it has kind of a slow start. However, I tried again yesterday and was totally hooked once the story got going. Started reading at 4 o'clock... totally absorbed by 6... finished at midnight.

I live in California and make a point of visiting the libraries of any town I'm in. I currently have five library cards and am looking forward to adding to my collection. In addition to giving me access to the wonderful world of books, the cards themselves are often decorated with awesome graphics.

I buy Assi Pho Vietnamese Rice Noodle Soup Bowls - 6 per box for about $9/box. I open each package, toss the noodles (too soft) and save the flavor packets (one powder, one spicy sauce). So yeah, I'm your customer!!!

All that said... a very, very, very good friend had a daughter 19-20-ish years ago (that I claimed as my own... because I never had children), was an intern at Yosemite in 2023/2024. She was hired to stay on... so I do get to watch her scare me to death in pics.

Sorry, but to me... THAT looks terrifying. I did it once... and you can't tell by the pic... but it scared the sh*t out of me.

My niece recreated Judith Beheading Holofernes by Caravaggio for a photography class she was taking. My sister on the far right, my other niece as Judith in the middle and my sisters husband as Holofernes. Similar to, but not the same as the one shown in this post. Here's her finished project.
