I used to work in a hospital. 90yo farmer came in, he'd been out to see the sheep on his quad bike. Had an accident, quad bike rolled on him. This guy got himself out, drove home, HAD A SHOWER, then drove to the ER. His pelvis was in so many pieces....

I love this. In my mid twenties, I would regularly hang out with 3 people from church who were between 20 and 40 years older than me. We'd go to the cinema, get lunch, grab coffee. And my life is so much richer for it.

My usual motus operandi as a steward was to turn off all the lights and stand by the door jingling my hefty lot of church keys. An occasional cough might be deployed as encouragement...
