We aren’t entirely powerless in the face of this destruction, but until we find the political will to fight for what we love, and to hold our elected officials to account, the very least we can do is to protect the nearby wildlife we have the power to protect.

Opinion | How to Make Spring Safer for Wildlife (Gift Article)
I wish everyone would slow down. The least we can do is to give our wild neighbors time to cross the roads we have built through the middle of their homes.

Dawn is a little brighter, birdsong a little louder...The countdown to spring has begun, and nature knows it!

Birds are defending territories, scouting nest sites, and thinking about pairing up...

Have you noticed any shifts in activity?

This soup used all of my pots and pans, made a mess of my kitchen, and caused me to slice my finger but it was delicious

Seeing other people’s reading recaps have 50+ books vs. me struggling to hit my goal of 10 but I did it anyways (I read 6/10 in December oops) and enjoyed them all. Looking for 2025 suggestions!

Three different cameras: a 2014 SONY Powershot, a 2009 Canon EOS 7D, and an iphone 15. Which is which?

Seeing Short-eared Owls in this field that’s been kept long for the first time since I’ve been doing these surveys 🫶 seeing birds for the purpose of furthering their conservation and protecting their habitat is SO much more fulfilling than adding them to a list or getting a good picture.

Whenever im walking outside (often) I like to pick up leaves and other natural objects and carry them around. Sometimes they end up on my art desk sometimes I leave them outside.
