Now to the victims: no you didn't do anything to deserve it. You flirting or having a drink wasn't you giving permission for your body to be taken. You are not what has been done to you and it is your prerogative to speak or stay silent, but please don't ever stop being and believing in yourself!

It’s time for the predators to feel what shame is like. The question we all should be asking is why have these perpetrators not been arrested if there are videos and photos. Lets separate our politics and seek justice for these victims.Lets call it quits on good ole boy protections.🧵

Now let me be clear, Nancy Mace is not my hero, but what she did was courageous and has the potential to free thousands of women from the secrets that eat them alive. Because that's what sexual abuse does. The victims hold these dirty secrets forced on them. They feel dirty and disgraced. #NancyMace

Why would any victim want to come forward when this is what they see when a woman “with a platform” tells her truth. And shares that there may be hundreds or thousands of other victims in the Charleston Metro area. 🧵

And it pains and infuriates me that victims who are reading or watching the reaction to Nancy Mace’s speech are seeing disbelief, attacks for political views, or backing of Trump.🧵

A move I didn't respect. I don't imagine I’d ever be friends with Nancy Mace, but as a survivor, I respect Mace for using her platform to make known a trend in the Lowcountry of sexual assault, child pornography, and voyeurism.

I didn't vote for Trump or Nancy Mace. I live in Nancy Mace’s district and have been across from her at a fundraiser for our schools. I didn't find her friendly or interested in her constiuents. This was in 2016-17. Then she started dating Bryant and changed her position to pro legalizing marijuana.
