In related news, I, a literal trainer on the trauma-informed mindset, also have to sit through a two-hour trauma informed care training later this week. 😒 Hours of my life I will never get back.

We have a large indigenous population that I feel we are failing, in part due to lack of understanding. I was really hopeful we would get something impactful out of this. Instead we got “micro-aggressions for toddlers” and “baby’s first intersectionality”.

If you don’t know how anything works everything seems like magic, but whether it’s interpreted as benign or malicious has to do with internal structuring. I don’t look at weird fog and immediately jump to cloud seeding. Rather, I just say, “Wow that’s some weird fog.” (3/3)

Half of this is engagement farming, but it’s preying on some kind of social unease and it’s allowed to promulgate through a lack of critical thinking and base understanding of how things work. (2/3)
