Belief is also needed to protect things like vegetarianism. Rather than a blanket removal of belief I would rather just exclude beliefs which are diametrically opposed to something protected - so that would exclude Islamophobia and GC beliefs.

When the lowered voting age is taken into account (assuming it happens) the numbers are likely to become even stronger

It would cause a constitutional crisis because there is no support for withdrawal in Scotland or Wales and conflicts the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland.

In another decade it might have happened but in the 2020s Governments are so distrusted that if the Government gets behind *any* social policy, a large number of people swing the opposite way.
