These are the local conditions for SBYC, an afterschool program for Asian American youth committed to putting people over profit in the SV.
I met SBYC through tech worker organizing as tech workers and SV youth had so much in common in getting politicized thru tech

It's really easy to homogenize "Silicon Valley" as this bastion of tech evil (and it is). But people live here and hold all the contradictions: huge wealth disparity, mixed race composition, complicated migration histories -- all too often overshadowed by the SV and its own self-mythologizing lore.
