For me the bandaid is mostly so I don't idly scratch the area while it's healing. 🙂
I've only hit a blood vessel like once, most of the time there's barely any blood at all.

It felt like they were for awhile, but yeah...
especially these last few months, there's clearly been a lot more pushback than they expected and their coalition seems like it's faltering.

think I'm sitting around 40%, which is higher than I want but also...not the worst thing.

...as long as I can get my overall weight down enough for surgery, I'm alright. c:

hey, same. it was right after a particularly bad episode that I learned that I Can Just Be A Woman and That's Fine, and it's been pretty alright since that point. c:

The sheer number of things you could experiment with if you had hundreds of years of free time, I can't even imagine.

it'd be a lot easier to devote the 10,000 hours to master violin if I had an infinite number of hours to devote to things. c:

Also, it took 31 tries for me to beat Xaldin. I remember it vividly because it's one of the fights where Mickey can save you and he triggered 5 times on the winning attempt.

(In my defense, I was like 12 at the time and very not good at that kind of game.)

Yeaaaaah, I don't remember how many tries that fight took me but it was A Lot.
These people have no idea. :p

*flashing back to Kingdom Hearts superbosses* three tries, you say? 😭

One trillion is one quarter of the entire GDP of the state of California. A state of 40 million people.

The idea of one person having that kind of power is obscene.

It's also fairly possible that they do a narrow carve-out to the filibuster rule, only adding CRs to the list of things that aren't covered.
That would reduce the risk of them passing insane legislation somewhat, but still leave the door open to weakening or removing the filibuster later.

It's a good hope, and I think it's pretty accurate for how the House republicans tend to behave, but the Senate republicans fall in line too quickly/too often for me to be very comfortable with this gamble.
Ultimately I guess we'll see what happens, but it's concerning either way.

In the short term it'd be disastrous for trans people and anyone in the administration's crosshairs.
In the long term it could be useful if the Senate flips.

House bills passing with a simple majority in the Senate is a really risky gamble for both parties, that's why they haven't done it.

Beyond my personal dislike of the building and the current occupant, it feels like a big symbolic way to show an end to this current chapter of the country's history.
