Billionaires shouldn’t exist, but since they do, it’s time to make them pay up for climate solutions! 💚

Today’s climate strike was possibly my last action with @350deutschland.bsky.social after 8.5 years of amazing work building a justice-centered climate movement.

Marched today in Berlin to #DrawtheLine against billionaires & polluters profiting from the climate crisis while the rest of us struggle to make ends meet. So proud to be part of a global wave of protests in over 93 countries- taking action for climate justice & a more just world for all 💚! @350.org

When my kid has finished his lunch, sure 😇. In the meantime, here’s a graph with the election results showing the colours of the parties.

How did we get here? Germany has a record number of billionaires hoarding wealth (mainly in the west), while the far-right blames migrants & minorities. We urgently need to tax the rich and address inequality by investing in decent housing, lowering energy costs and future-proofing communities.

Some good news from the German election: the Left party at 8.5% with huge support from young voters means a strong anti-fascist opposition in parliament. And we’re going to need it with a record number of Nazis holding seats & climate sceptic, pro-nuclear Merz as chancellor.

While global elites meet in #Davos2025 this week, we're joining groups from around the world in calling for a #RedLinetoBillionaires 🛑. Billionaires shouldn’t exist, but at the very least their extreme wealth should be taxed to help pay for renewable, affordable energy for all! @350org.bsky.social
