Fired CFPB attorney, Jamaica Plain resident, dog lover. Opinions entirely my own.
Had a wonderful (if rainy) time canvassing JP with @jpprogressives.bsky.social spreading the word about what to do if ICE shows up! Special thanks to the two 20-something roommates who were leaving their unit just as I showed up and asked "want an anti-ICE flyer" to which they said "FUCK YEAH WE DO"

Boston Federal Unionists were out in force at No Kings! Thank you to the two lovely people who independently brought us snacks 🥹

Joined Teamsters Local 25 on the picket line in Holbrook with other federal unionists yesterday to support their ongoing strike!

My favorite part: driving the GOLF CARTS through the STREETS OF BOSTON at 7:30 am

What a great time volunteering at Boston Pride this weekend!

Very glad that David Huerta is out of custody, and heartened by the quick and impressive turnout to support our siblings in LA!

There are worse endings to a rally than getting your goal 10 minutes in—so glad that Marcelo is coming home!

I do not know who originally came up with the G O T T O G O, ELON MUSK HAS GOT TO GO chant but it was one of the high points of my week to lead the Boston Tesla Takedown crew through the arm motions this afternoon!

What a great time learning how to lobby state legislatures as a Regular Citizen, led by the wonderful @progressivemass.bsky.social and @jonathancohn.bsky.social, at the annual Progressive Mass Lobby Day! Favorite part was marching down the stairs to the rotunda while we sang :)

Extremely proud of the brave students who shared their (classmates') stories at the international students' rally today! And outraged that we have come to a point where teenagers have to read their friends' stories bc the friends are afraid of being deported if they speak out.

The small but mighty 50501 protest yesterday was an extremely wholesome time and I was proud to see so many Bostonians (pese a no hablar español) out fighting for our neighbors!

Love the energy of the banana-suit guy at yesterday's Tesla Takedown, who led the crowd in chants of "Elon Musk is un-a-PEEL-ing" before announcing he "had to split"

(& got to show Boston the "in the rain or in the snow/they say layoffs, we say NO" chant the CFPB union perfected back in February!)

It was so much fun to march with fellow unionists around the Public Garden on May Day! And my arms have almost un-cramped from holding the banner lol

Packed my worldly possessions into my 2008 Toyota Matrix and came back home to Boston—if I am going to fight somewhere I would rather fight at home!

I don't think anyone deduced my political leanings on the flight north.

In the latest round of illegal firings, the DOGE crew made sure to get those pesky [checks notes]... disabled veterans... out first!

I am so proud of the 19+ colleagues who submitted declarations this weekend to stand up for our CFPB and shine a light on the corruption trying to take it down!

So much fun to walk the picket line AGAIN with my illegally fired colleagues this weekend!

(Creds to my mom @croyce62.bsky.social for (a) dropping everything on vacation for a picket and (b) taking the photos!)

Welp, that's round two—so glad I can finally comment in public on the theft Russell Vought and his incel crew are perpetrating at the CFPB! Stay tuned for next steps 👀

It was so much fun to join my comrades and it seems like the entire rest of the country in the #HandsOff protests today! Protests are like going to the gym—they build up your muscles for the times you need them, you feel much better after you go, and hey, you might meet someone cute

But most discouraging of all? A lot of congresspeople (from both sides of the aisle) didn't even bother showing up. Here's the empty seat of my congressman, Stephen Lynch.

(It was also quite discouraging that they didn't bother to straighten Barney Frank's portrait, askew on the wall)

Yesterday I went to the House Financial Services Subcommittee hearing on the CFPB, with the union, to bear witness as the congressmen trashed the CFPB. One of my highlights was hearing the shrewlike little chairman call it "that Orwellian predator, the CFPB")
