Life with chronic illness and (service) dogs.

Jumping over here from tik tok as the (probable) ban looms. Quick info - I suffer from #longcovid and related health issues as well as #narcolepsy. I’m a #servicedog handler and trainer, #bookworm, #puzzler and #introvert. I’m in #recovery from an ED and #cptsd. I’m still finding my place here.
Meeting my service dog candidate CJ, for the first time. She’s a full service dog now.

If you’re complaining about Beyoncé winning country album of the year because it’s not “real country”, you sound really racist just a FYI. Guess Willie Nelson and all those actual country experts who collaborated on her album know way less about country than you do. 🙄

We are living through unprecedented times… and everyone has a story to tell.

Don’t assume your social media profiles will be there forever. Write things down. Make hard copies.

Share your suffering, fears and pain.

You don’t have to be a writer. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just write it down.

Stuck in bed today. I overdid it this week and am paying the price. So grateful for my constant companions. If you are training a service dog incorporate the ability to rest and settle in your training. It’s so important. #servicedog #chronicillnes #longcovid #PEM #disability

My service dog alerted to my doctor in my appointment today. I think that’s a pretty good indication of the state of our health care workers. #servicedog #healthcare #americanhealthcare #healthsystem #chronicillness #longcovid #medicalalertdog
