Yay to hear Ian Dunt speak on the Lords appointments, and on my second-favourite podcast (Origin Story being #1 🤭)

Read the Substack but there's nothing quite like hearing Ian get worked up

Best wishes for a speedy recovery @pimlicat.bsky.social

Yes, I've read The Borgia Portrait too
but it wasn't as much of a jolt because I already had the example of The Medici Murders

Yay
Very excited to see what happens next

The Medici Murders is one of the most unusual mystery novels I've ever read

Also, if you're in the UK and are neurodivergent (or have another impairment) and audiobooks are better for you, I highly recommend signing up for Listening Books

It's £20 for a whole year and it literally operates like a library online

Most of the time, I forget how utterly exhausting working in schools was

I was home-educated up to uni, so worked in schools without years of bad memories

Cafeterias are inherently awful for anyone with auditory issues and schools not letting pupil/staff leave overstimulating situations is hell

I do believe the burden of proof is lower for a company than the police

It's supposedly 2° in Edinburgh
I didn't notice the bit that says "feels like -2"

Yeah, popping out to the supermarket in just my hoodie was not wise

Nope, I'm quite relieved

I signed up here when you still had to wait for an invite code, there was practically no-one here and the people who were here weren't posting regularly.
I was more than a little convinced that I'd made a terrible mistake.

I work for the University of Edinburgh (1 of 4 unis in this city)
I can't see them not competing, especially on taught Master's programmes

As someone who stopped looking at Twitter in 2020 and then tried to get back into it in 2023, it had very obviously swerved away from showing you the people you liked
